Earth Day 2026
We were joined by Robin and Poppy Sedgewick from Crannich Farm, along with Lorraine from the Community Garden, to celebrate Earth Day. With their help, we planted over 40 trees and plants in our wildlife area.
The planting included oak trees grown from seeds collected locally, as well as hazel trees that the children had previously helped to pot at the Community Garden during one of their visits. This has been a wonderful opportunity for the children to see the full journey of planting, from potting to planting out.
We were also delighted to welcome Lauren and Tom from the BBC, who were filming and interviewing the children and staff as part of a BBC documentary airing next year.
A huge thank you goes to Craig Rutherford, who kindly cleared the area and prepared the site, making it ready for planting.
